In 2014, Dr Ryan was one of 22 football players in the United States to be recognized on the All-State Good Works Team. This respected college football award pays tribute to a select group of athletes who have worked to positively influence the lives of others in their communities. Dr Ryan also received the 2011 NSIC Defensive Newcomer of the Year Award, was a 3-time All- NSIC Team Member and a 2013 & 2014 USA College Sports Preseason All-American. Dr Ryan also received the 2014 Glen Galligan Award, which is awarded to honor an outstanding senior football player in the NSIC.

Following his time in Winona, Dr Ryan has had the fortunate opportunity to earn his dental education at an institution that is at the cutting edge of dental technology and utilizes the newest techniques in the field. This education has allowed Dr Ryan to pursue his interests in: same-day crowns, root canal therapy, clear aligner orthodontics (Invisalign) and implant dentistry. He is also excited for the opportunity to become a role model to the children of the practice, just as his dentist had been to him while growing up. Dr Ryan is committed to a life of continuing education in order to provide his patients with comfortable and quality dental care for many years to come.

The relationship between Dr. Zehren and Dr Ryan began in 2014 when Dr Ryan interned at Zehren Dental during his Junior and Senior years at Winona State."Dr. Zehren really shaped my way of thinking when it came to dentistry. Before I even entered dental school, I was fairly equipped with knowledge because of Dr. Zehren’s vast expertise in the field of dentistry. That’s what really intrigued me about his practice – his ability to use that expertise to provide the best possible care to his patients. And also, how well he treats the patients, staff and the community that supports him."

Dr. Ryan moved from the Chicagoland area with his wife, Kait, also a Winona State University Graduate, and is enjoying being a part of the community that means so much to them. They also have two boys, Kieran and Merrick that keep them very busy!

Dr. Ryan says: Getting the opportunity to join Dr. Zehren’s team in a community Kaitlyn and I have grown to love and have hoped to eventually put roots down in is very humbling. I look forward to building trusting relationships with new and existing patients, seeing some familiar faces and proudly representing Zehren Dental in the Winona area
